This Privacy Policy applies whenever you use our “Services”, which means our website including any other domains or websites operated by TrainCrest. “TrainCrest”, “we”, “our”, or “us” in this Privacy Policy refers to TrainCrest Solutions Pvt. Ltd. By using TrainCrest’s Services, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.
COLLECTION OF YOUR DATA
Personal Information: TrainCrest may collect personally identifiable information such as your name. We may also collect anonymous demographic information, which is not unique to you, such as your age, gender, household income, political affiliation, race and religion. We may gather additional personal or non-personal information in the future.
Data in our Logs: When you use TrainCrest’s Services, our system automatically records that information (“data in our logs”) including information that your internet browser sends whenever you search a website or your mobile application sends when you are using it going to and from different applications. The data in our logs may also include your IP address, the address of the most recent web pages you’ve visited that had our features, browser type and settings, the date and time of your request, how you used TrainCrest, and cookie data.
Your communications: Communications between you and other users through our Services; your participation in a survey, poll, or discussions; your request for certain features (e.g., newsletters, updates or other products); your communication with us about employment opportunities posted to the Services.
Computer and device information: Information about your computer, Internet connection and mobile device, including your IP address, operating systems, platforms, browser type, other browsing information (connection, speed, connection type etc.), device type, device’s unique device identifier, mobile network information and the device’s telephone number. This information is used for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of our website.
Your Public Posts: You also may provide information (such as reviews, comments, likes, bookmarks, friends, lists, etc.) to be published or displayed (hereinafter, “posted”) on publicly accessible areas of our Services, or transmitted to other users of our Services or third-parties (collectively, “User Contributions”). Your User Contributions are posted on and transmitted to others at your own risk. Although we limit access to certain pages, you may set certain privacy settings for such information by logging into your account profile. Please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable (see “Security” section below). Additionally, we cannot control the actions of other users of our Services with whom you may choose to share your User Contributions. Therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee that your User Contributions will not be viewed by unauthorized persons. We may however display this information on the Services, share it with businesses, and further distribute it to a wider audience through third party sites and services. You should be careful about revealing any sensitive details about yourself in such postings.
Course Data: When you enroll in and take courses, we collect certain data including which courses, assignments and quizzes you’ve started and completed; your exchanges with Instructors, teaching assistants, and other learners; and essays, answers to questions, and other items submitted to satisfy course requirements.
Learner Payment Data: If you make purchases, we collect certain data about your purchase (such as your name and zip code) as necessary to process your order. You must provide certain payment and billing data directly to our payment processing partners, including your name, bank account information, billing address, and zip code. For security, TrainCrest does not collect or store sensitive cardholder data, such as full credit card numbers or card authentication data.
Instructor Payment Data: If you are an Instructor, you can link your bank account to the Services to receive payments. When you link a payment account, we collect and use certain information, including your payment account email address, account ID, physical address, or other data necessary for us to send payments to your account. In order to comply with applicable laws, we also work with trusted third parties who collect tax information as legally required. This tax information may include residency information, tax identification numbers, biographical information, and other personal information necessary for taxation purposes. For security, TrainCrest does not collect or store sensitive bank account information. The collection, use, and disclosure of your payment, billing, and taxation data is subject to the privacy policy and other terms of your payment account provider.
Information about Your Messages: If you exchange messages with others through the Services, we may store them in order to process and deliver them, allow you to manage them, and investigate possible violations of our Terms of Use and wrongdoing in connection with the Services. If you send information from the Services to your mobile device via SMS text message, we may log your phone number, phone carrier, and the date and time that the message was processed. Carriers may charge recipients for texts that they receive.
Anonymous or De-Identified Data: We may anonymize and/or de-identify information collected from you through the Services or via other means, including via the use of third party web analytic tools as described below. As a result, our use and disclosure of aggregated and/or de-identified information is not restricted by this Privacy Policy, and it may be used and disclosed to others without limitation.
Sweepstakes, Promotions and Surveys: We may invite you to complete a survey or participate in a promotion (like a contest, sweepstakes, or challenge), either through the Services or a third-party platform. If you participate, we will collect and store the data you provide as part of participating, such as your name, email address, date of birth, or phone number. That data is subject to this Privacy Policy unless otherwise stated in the official rules of the promotion or in another privacy policy. The data collected will be used to administer the promotion or survey, including for notifying winners and distributing rewards. To receive a reward, you may be required to allow us to post some of your information publicly (like on a winner’s page). Where we use a third-party platform to administer a survey or promotion, the third party’s privacy policy will apply.
USE OF YOUR DATA
TrainCrest collects and uses your personal information to operate its website(s) and deliver the services you have requested.
We may also contact you via surveys and polls etc. to conduct research about your opinion.
We do not sell, rent, lease our customer database to third parties. We may however disclose personal information to third parties. This disclosure may be required for us to provide you access to our Services, to comply with our legal obligations, to enforce our Terms of Use, to facilitate our marketing and advertising activities, or to prevent, detect, mitigate, and investigate fraudulent or illegal activities related to our services. We do not disclose your personal information to third parties for their marketing and advertising purposes without your explicit consent.
We share data that we have about you with Instructors or teaching assistants for courses you enroll in or request information about, so they can improve their courses for you and other learners. This data may include things like your city, country, browser language, operating system, device settings, the site that brought you to TrainCrest, and your activities on TrainCrest. If we collect additional data about you (like age or gender), we may share that too. We also enable our Instructors to implement Google Analytics on their course pages to track sources of traffic to their courses and optimize their course pages.
Depending on your settings, your shared content and profile data may be publicly viewable, including to other learners and Instructors. If you ask a question to an Instructor or teaching assistant, your information (including your name) may also be publicly viewable by other users depending on your settings.
We may share data with trusted partners to help perform statistical analysis, send you email or postal mail. All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services to TrainCrest, and they are required to maintain confidentiality of your information.
We may share personal information with our other corporate entities and affiliates. These entities and affiliates may market to you as a result of such sharing unless you explicitly opt out.
We may keep track of the websites and pages our users visit within TrainCrest and this data is used to deliver customized content within TrainCrest to customers whose behavior indicates that they are interested in particular subject area.
We will disclose your personal information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conformed to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on TrainCrest or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of TrainCrest; and (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of TrainCrest, or the public.

You play an important role in keeping your personal information secure. You should not share your user name, password, or other security information of your TrainCrest account with anyone. If we receive instructions using your user name and password, we will consider that you have authorized the instructions.
CHOICES ABOUT HOW WE USE AND DISCLOSE YOUR DATA
We strive to provide you with choices regarding the data you provide to us. You can set your browser or mobile device to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of our Services may then be inaccessible or not function properly. We do not share your personal information with any advertising agency.

If you delete your User Contributions from our websites, copies of your User Contributions may remain viewable in cached and archived pages, or might have been copied or stored by other users of our websites.

TrainCrest does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of eighteen (18). If you are under the age of eighteen (18), you must ask your parent or guardian for permission to use this website.
DATA RETENTION AND ACCOUNT TERMINATION
You can close your account by visiting your profile settings page on our website. We will remove your public posts from view and/or dissociate them from your account profile, but we may retain information about you for the purposes authorized under this Privacy Policy unless prohibited by law. Thereafter, we will either delete your personal information or de-identify it so that it is anonymous and not attributed to your identity. For example, we may retain information to prevent, investigate, or identify possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service or to comply with legal obligations.
