Professional Scrum Master™ II (PSM II) Course Prerequisites:
- Scrum Experience: You should have substantial practical experience working as a Scrum Master in a professional environment. This means you have actively fulfilled the role of a Scrum Master for a significant duration, working with Scrum Teams to facilitate Scrum events, remove impediments, and ensure the adoption of Scrum principles and practices.
- Certification: While not always mandatory, many training providers and organizations prefer candidates to have already achieved the Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) certification as a prerequisite. PSM I is considered a foundational certification, and PSM II builds upon this knowledge.
- Scrum Knowledge: You should have a deep understanding of Scrum principles, practices, and the Scrum Guide. Familiarity with advanced Scrum topics, such as scaling Scrum, handling organizational challenges, and coaching Scrum Teams, is beneficial.
